GUIDE - EMI MUST BE PAID
By HostSpica Private Limited, the developer of EMI Must Be Paid · Updated 21 September 2026 · Game version 1.3.0
What are the difficulty modes and ranks?
EMI Must Be Paid has four difficulty modes, Rookie, Pro, Boss and Legend, that you pick when you start and can change any time in Settings. Separately, you climb 10 rank titles from Newbie to Titan by earning lifetime BP.

| Mode | Bill amounts | Bill deadlines | Stamina | Regen | BP earned | Boss HP | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rookie | -20% | +30% | +25% | +20% | -15% | -20% | Relaxed. Great for learning the game. |
| Pro | +0% | +0% | +0% | +0% | +0% | +0% | The classic balance. |
| Boss | +30% | -15% | -10% | -10% | +35% | +15% | Bigger bills, tighter deadlines. More BP. |
| Legend | +70% | -25% | -15% | -20% | +90% | +30% | Brutal. For players who beat the game. |
Difficulty changes how demanding each run is. It never deletes progress, so you can experiment freely.
| Rank | Lifetime BP needed | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Newbie | 0 | Starting rank |
| Saver | 8 | 2 BP |
| Bill Buster | 30 | 4 BP |
| Debt Fighter | 90 | 6 BP and a common rare coin |
| Banker | 220 | 10 BP |
| Tycoon | 500 | 15 BP and a rare rare coin |
| Millionaire | 1000 | 25 BP |
| Magnate | 2000 | 40 BP and a epic rare coin |
| Mogul | 4000 | 60 BP |
| Titan | 8000 | 100 BP and a legendary rare coin |
Ranks count total BP ever earned, so spending BP on upgrades never lowers your rank.
Pick Pro if you are unsure: it is the classic balance. Choose Rookie to learn the game, Boss for bigger bills and tighter deadlines with more BP, and Legend if you have already beaten the game.
Yes. Open Settings and pick a new difficulty at any time. It applies from your next run and never affects your saved progress.
Your rank depends on the total BP you have ever earned, not the BP you have left. There are 10 ranks from Newbie to Titan, and each rank pays a reward when you claim it.
